Description
The position is expected to handle the entire value chain related to emission reduction business and assume overall responsibility of the Emission Reduction Business Unit. Specific scope of work could include the following:
Interacting with various business development teams and identifying the qualifying projects; Registration of qualifying projects under CDM and any other applicable mechanisms; Tracking the global and local carbon markets; Interacting with the potential buyers and spot exchanges to identify appropriate market opportunities; Track and analyze global climate policies; Advise the business development team on related trends; Going forward, upon introduction of the trading mechanism on Renewable Energy Certificates, the position is expected to work on developing strategies to monetize these certificates.
